Lanta Castaway Beach Resort is located in a prime location on Long Beach in Koh Lanta, Thailand and provides some of the best views on the island. We are a boutique resort offering 19 newly built luxury bungalows, as well as, 3 traditional fan bungalows.

Our beach resort is an ideal setting for those looking for pure relaxation, sun worshiping, and easy access to Koh Lanta activities such as scuba diving, elephant trekking, sea kayaking, fishing, and more. In addition, our section of beach is calm and shallow which is terrific for swimming and lounging in the warm Andaman Sea.

Koh Lanta is located in the province of Krabi in southern Thailand. The island is fast becoming an alternative destination from other more well known, but overcrowded, destinations such as Phuket, Koh Phi Phi, and Koh Samui.

Resort Accommodations
At Lanta Castaway, we offer our customers several types of accommodations. Our Beachcomber Bungalow is our one of a kind premier bungalow. The Sea Breeze Bungalows are also part of our premium bungalows. The Tropical Daze Bungalows offer comfortable mid-sized rooms, while the Garden Bungalows offer a more traditional stay. Beachcomber Bungalow
Lanta Castaway’s Beachcomber Bungalow is our premium bungalow located just 20 meters from the beach with huge sea-facing windows which offer a fantastic view. This bungalow is a spacious 39 square meters and is very comfortably adorned. It is furnished with air-conditioning, cable TV, mini-bar, indoor toilet, hot water shower, terrace, and a private patio. It contains a king sized bed, as well as, a sofa bed.

Sea Breeze Bungalows
The Sea Breeze Bungalows are also part of our premium bungalows. They are a very spacious 36 square meters each and are comfortably adorned, as well. They are furnished with air-conditioning, cable TV, mini-bar, indoor toilet, hot water showers, terrace, and a private patio. Each bungalow contains two queen sized beds and each has at least a partial view of the Andaman Sea from the front terrace.

Tropical Daze Bungalows

The Tropical Daze Bungalows are surrounded by our beautifully maintained garden areas. They are built and adorned to the same standard as our premium bungalows. The rooms are 28 square meter mid-size rooms which are arranged with either one king size or two twin size beds. Most of these bungalows are of a duplex design with secure doors connecting the two rooms. This design allows guests to let just one room (Tropical Daze Room option) or both rooms (Tropical Daze Family Bungalow option) which is ideal for friends and families. Their amenities include Air-Conditioning, cable TV, an indoor toilet, hot water for showers, and a terrace.

Garden Bungalows

Our Garden Bungalows are very cozy 20 square meter gems. Built with wood siding and an abundance of windows they offer simplistic comfort. Each contains a double size bed, ceiling fan, an indoor bathroom with hot water shower, safety box, and a terrace.

Lanta Castaway is located on the west coast of Koh Lanta in the village of Phra Ae. It is approximately 6.5 kilometers south of Saladan Village (location of the ferry piers).

Getting to Koh Lanta
Koh Lanta is accessible from several locations. The island can be reached by sea from Phuket, Koh Phi Phi and Krabi. It can also be reached via road from Krabi and Trang. Krabi is the closest location to Koh Lanta. Daily flights from Bangkok to Phuket, Krabi and Trang are offered by several different airlines. Only Trang can be reached via train from Bangkok.

Krabi & Ao Nang to Koh Lanta
By Ferry - The ferries run once daily from November through April (dates can vary with weather). The Ao Nang ferry departs at 10:30am and the Krabi ferry departs at 11:00am. The trip takes approximately 2.5 hours.

By Minivan - Public & private minivans operate year-round several times per day. The number of trips per day varies with the seasons, with the first leaving at around 11am and the last at around 4pm. The trip takes approximately 2.5 hours and includes two car ferry crossings. The minivans depart from central Krabi Town. Stop at any number of travel agents in Krabi Town to purchase tickets.

By Taxi - Taxis to Koh Lanta can also be hired from the Krabi Airport.

By Rental Car - Avis, Budget & National have rentals available from the Krabi Airport.

Trang to Koh Lanta
By Minivan - Public minivans operate year-round several times per day. The number of trips per day varies with the seasons, with the first leaving at around 11am and the last at around 3pm. The trip takes around 2.5 hours and includes two car ferry crossings. The minivans depart from a location opposite the Trang Train Station.

Phuket & Phi-Phi to Koh Lanta
By Ferry - Ferries run daily from November through April (dates can vary with weather) traveling from Phuket to Koh Lanta via Koh Phi Phi. Ferries leave Phuket twice daily at 8:30am and 1:30pm. At Phi Phi, you will need to change to a second ferry to Koh Lanta. The trip takes approximately 2 hours from Phuket to Koh Phi Phi and approximately 1 hour from Koh Phi Phi to Koh Lanta.
